The Shepherd’s Fold

The mission of The Shepherd’s Fold, located in Chapultepec, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, is to provide Christ-centered, long-term residential care, educational support, and essential life resources to children from vulnerable circumstances. We exist to offer a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where children may experience stability, healing, spiritual growth, and personal development.

The Shepherd’s Fold operates as a residential children’s home, not a daycare facility. Children reside full-time within the mission for varying lengths of time, depending on family circumstances, safety concerns, and legal or social service guidance. Some children remain for only a few months, while others are cared for over several years, often until reaching adulthood at the age of eighteen.

We maintain consistent and responsible communication with the children’s parents or legal guardians, including weekly contact and supervised visitation on Sundays, as part of our commitment to family connection and potential reunification when appropriate.

Children residing at The Shepherd’s Fold attend formal schooling four days per week. Their daily routine also includes participation in supervised responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, and structured life-skills training. Recreational activities—including organized games, sports, fishing excursions, and beach outings—are provided to support physical, emotional, and social development.

In addition, children benefit from learning and play opportunities at a nearby ranch property that includes animals, gardens, and natural wooded areas, fostering responsibility, environmental stewardship, and experiential learning.

All donated funds are administered with strict transparency and accountability and are used exclusively for essential operational needs, including but not limited to food, clean water, clothing, transportation, facility maintenance, personal necessities, and educational expenses. The Shepherd’s Fold is committed to operating with integrity, compassion, and legal accountability while promoting long-term stability and well-being for the children and families we serve.
