Serving Our Community in Mexico

Our work in this community began with a simple desire: to share the love of Christ by serving people and investing in the lives of families.

When we first came to Campeche, Mexico, we began a congregation and local school. What started small has grown into a community where families can worship together, receive practical help, and know that there are people who care about them.
Much of our work is among families from the local Mayan communities. Many of these families live with very limited financial resources. For some parents, simply providing the necessities of life can be a daily challenge.
One of the ways we are able to help is by making education more accessible to children. Some families cannot afford school expenses, and for others, transportation alone is an obstacles that keeps their children from attending school. We help provide transportation and other assistance so that children have the opportunity to attend school and receive an education.

We also provide transportation for people who want to attend service but otherwise would have no way to get there. We pick people up, bring them to service, and take them home afterward. For some, this simple service is what makes it possible for them to participate in the congregational events.
